Ocean City

April 1: Lewis Black

Comedian Lewis Black will perform at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center on April 1. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 8 p.m.

April 7-8: Easter Art & Craft Show and Kids Fun Fair

Enjoy continuous activities, contests and entertainment, including Beanny the Easter Bunny, an Easter egg hunt, limbo contests, a juggling show and more. The Kids Fun Fair will be joined by the Art & Craft Show, featuring creative gifts and including lawn and garden decor. The event will be held April 7-8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and $2 for military, police and fire personnel with a valid ID. Admission is free for children ages 3 and under.

April 26: Originals Only

The Art League of Ocean City will host its monthly Originals Only showcase from 7-9 p.m. Enjoy coffee and live performances by DomtheGonzo, Josh Quillen, Big Chap and Fraiser Fir. Event is free to attend.

April 29-30: Anime Ocean City

Anime Ocean City comes to the Ocean City convention center for its first year. The event will feature special guests, an Artist Alley, a vendor marketplace, cosplay contests and panels. Festivities will take place Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $50 for VIP, $30 for a weekend pass, $20 for Saturday and $15 for Sunday. Kids ages 10 and under are free.

April 30: Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra

The Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra returns to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. Celebrating its 25th season, the orchestra will perform Overture No. 1 in E Minor, Cello Concerto No. 1 in E-Flat Major and Symphony No. 9 “From the New World,” among other things. General admission tickets are $55.

April 30: Ocean City Bridal Show

The 2023 Ocean City Bridal Show will be held at Seacrets from 1-3 p.m. Meet top wedding vendors, sip cocktails and watch the Beauty & The Beach Fashion Show by Sandals Bridal. Attendees will also have an opportunity to win a Sandals wedding dress or $500 Rox Check. Admission is $12.95.

Berlin

April 8: Spring Celebration

The Town of Berlin will celebrate its Spring Celebration with games, crafts, face painting, egg hunts, a Bonnet Parade and more. The egg hunt will begin at 1 p.m. at the Calvin B. Taylor House Museum, with a talent show to follow. The event, sponsored by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce, will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Berlin.

Fenwick Island

April 22: Earth Day Cleanup

The Town of Fenwick Island will host its annual Earth Day Cleanup on April 22. Additional information, including start time, will be posted on the town’s website.

South Bethany

April 20, 22: Earth Day Events

The Town of South Bethany will host its Earth Day events on the evenings of April 20 and April 22. Additional information, including times and locations, will be posted on the town’s website. The events will be sponsored by the Community Relations and Canal Water Quality Committees.

Bethany Beach

April 8: Trail Day

Join Friends of Holts Landing State Park for its monthly Trail Day. Join crews in sprucing up the trails. Coffee, donuts and tools are provided. The event is held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

April 28-29: Ocean To Bay Bike Tour

Join cyclists through a tour of Sussex County. The event offers a 10-mile, 30-mile, 50-mile, metric century and century rides on flat terrain. Festivities begin at 7 a.m.

Dewey Beach

April 8: Dewey Beach Easter Egg Scoop

Dewey Beach will host its annual Easter Egg Scoop. Fun for all ages, the event includes an egg hunt and entertainment.

Rehoboth Beach

April 9: Easter Ecumenical Sunrise Service

Epworth United Methodist Church and Westminster Presbyterian Church, along with other churches, will celebrate Easter through song, scripture, prayer and sermon at the Rehoboth Bandstand. The worship service will begin at 6 a.m., with pre-service music beginning at 5:40 a.m.

April 15-16: Coastal Delaware Running Festival

Several running events will be held throughout the weekend, including a Boston Marathon-qualifying marathon and half-marathon and Challenge races. Funds raised support the Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation, Lions Club and other local nonprofits and youth sports teams. Registration is now open.

April 28: PAWS For People’s Doodle Parade

PAWS for People is part of Doodles in Dewey weekend celebration. Festivities include a Doodle costume parade on the boardwalk. Registration will open in front of the bandstand at 4:30 p.m. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Lewes

April 1-16: Lewes Tulip Celebration

Between April 1-16, more than 30,000 tulips will bloom at various locations throughout town as part of the Lewes Tulip Celebration. Festivities, including art exhibits walking tours and flower sales, will be held throughout the three weekends in April.

April 7: Historic Lewes First Fridays

The Lewes Historical Society will open the doors of the Sussex Tavern at the Rabbits Ferry House for Historic Lewes First Fridays. Each month, the tavern will feature history interpreters and more. The event is held from 4-7 p.m.

April 7-8: Lewes Tulip Sale

Lewes in Bloom will be selling tulips at the Bank Street Plaza on Second Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until tulips sell out.

Fort Miles Museum will celebrate the allied victory of World War II with its annual living history event, featuring World War II reenactors, military vehicles, artillery demonstrations, museum tours and more. Delaware Defense Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
